Diagnostic Evaluation and Patient Work-Up for RCC

Array

Activity Info

Refractory Chronic Cough (RCC) is a complex condition that remains a significant clinical challenge despite its high prevalence, accounting for up to 40% of pulmonology clinic visits and 16 million outpatient encounters annually. As a diagnosis of exclusion, RCC requires a thorough, evidence-based approach to evaluation—yet many clinicians struggle to conduct the appropriate diagnostic work-up, leading to delayed or missed diagnoses and suboptimal patient outcomes.

This expert-led panel discussion will provide clinicians with practical, guideline-aligned strategies for evaluating patients with chronic cough. Faculty will review common diagnostic pitfalls, highlight essential steps in ruling out treatable causes, and discuss how to identify RCC when symptoms persist despite optimal treatment. This activity is designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy and clinical confidence in the management of chronic cough.
